Royal HotelThe present Royal Hotel building was erected around 1892 by R.J. Barrowman, the owner. It boasted "spacious dining, drawing, reading, smoking and billiard rooms - with numerous single and double bedrooms". In 1956 the hotel was bought by Stevenson`s Dairy Farms.
